What is Spin-Coating and In-Mass Tinting:
Spin-Coating:
- Description: spin-coating is a thin layer applied to the surfaces of eyeglass lenses to reduce glare caused by light reflections. It allows more light to pass through the lenses, improving visibility and reducing eye strain.
- Benefits: Minimizes reflections, improves clarity, enhances visual acuity, and reduces glare from artificial lighting and headlights
In-Mass Tinting:
- Description: In-mass tinting refers to the process of adding color to the lens material itself rather than applying a tinted coating. This is often done during the manufacturing of the lens.
- Benefits: Tinted lenses can provide various benefits such as reducing brightness, enhancing contrast, and protecting the eyes from certain wavelengths of light. Tints can also be purely cosmetic.
